COREG MR TRIAL
A Randomized, Double-Blind, Multi-Center Study Comparing the Effects of Carvedilol Phosphate Modified Release Formulation (COREG-MR) with Metoprolol Succinate (Toprol-XL) on the Lipid Profile in Normolipidemic, or Mildly Dyslipidemic Hypertensive Patients
Eligible Patients must:
· Provide written consent
· Be between the ages of 18-80
· Have a history of Stage 1 or Stage 2 Hypertension

ACCOMPLISH TRIAL
A Multi-National Hypertension Drug Trial Comparing Two Different Combinations of Blood Pressure Medications.
Targeted to include hypertensive patients with additional risk factors.
Eligible Participants must be:
60 years of age or older
Diagnosed with hypertension PLUS other risk factors (including diabetes, heart attack, stroke, circulatory problems or kidney disease).
Eligible Participants will receive at no charge:
Study medications for 3-5 years
Initial Physical Exam and follow-up exams
Blood work and EKG's

DIABETES AND LAPROSCOPIC BANDING TRIAL
PATIENTS QUALIFY AGE >18, MALE AND FEMALE WITH BODY MASS INDEX >30 AND <40, WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES OR IMPAIRED GLUCOSE TOLERANCE OR IMPAIRED FASTING GLUCOSE OR DIABETIC DYSLIPIDEMIA WITH LOW HDL AND HIGH TRIGLYCERIDES
PATIENTS WILL UNDERGO LAPROSCOPIC BANDING PROCEDURE FOR WEIGHT LOSS AND THEN BE FOLLOWED FOR 5 YEARS FOR REGRESSION OF METABOLIC ABNORMALITIES
